Welcome to Cub Scout Pack 432. As a new Cub Scout Parent, you will have many questions and may feel a little overwhelmed at first. Don’t worry – the Adult Leaders are here to help and will answer any questions you may have. This website has most of the info you’ll need to get started. Feel free to reach out to us at any time to ask questions.
Pack 432 is a family-friendly Pack. The entire family is invited to attend and participate in most of our events. You are welcome to bring along siblings (brothers and sisters) to meeting, events and camps. We do a lot of things like police demos, reptile shows, bug presentations that are a big hit with the Scouts and their families.
MEETINGS AND EVENTS
We have 2 types of meetings scheduled each month: Pack Meetings and Den Meetings. Attending all of the meetings and events is not a requirement. We all have other events, activities, and sports in our lives. It is alright if your Scout cannot attend all meetings and events.
All meetings are held at St. Genevieve Parish Community Center (PCC) on Centerville Rd. Both the Den and Pack meetings last between 1 and 2 hours depending on what we are doing.
These meetings are with the Den (all scouts of the same age) where the Scouts will work toward earning their requirements towards advancement. Meetings will likely be the 2nd and 4th Monday or Thursday of the month. The Den Leader will work with the families to determine what works best for the Den.
Pack Meetings, usually, occur on the FIRST Monday of each month at 6:30 pm in the St. Genevieve Community Center. These are the meetings where the whole Pack (all Dens) gets together.
Our Pack tries to schedule one Pack Event per month. The activities can be attending a BSA Day Camp such as Polar Cubs or Fall Camp, our annual Summer Camp, visiting a local museum, going to a movie, an overnight event, our annual Pinewood Derby, or a model rocket launch.
The Pack Leaders do our best to communicate with families and provide all of the information you need. To accommodate the styles and preferences of families we communicate using a private Facebook Group and an email list. Information will be sent to families via email and posted on Facebook.
We have a private Facebook group for families: www.facebook.com/groups/cubpack432/ – This group is intended as a private group only for family members of our Scouts. You are welcome to share photos to this page.
Additionally, we have a public Facebook group for the general public: www.facebook.com/cubpack432 – We will monitor this page and only our admins will share pre-approved images or images that do not readily show Scouts faces. Feel free to invite friends and family to like this page to see what our Pack is up to.
When a Scout joins our Pack we will get your email address and add it to our list. If you would like to change or add an email address please let a leader know.
